Benefits of Sweating & What to Expect

Sweating and health are virtually synonymous in Russia. It's a tradition that has been part of Russian culture since the medieval times. Russians view their visits to the banya as both preventive and healing. For them it is the key to continued good health, especially with regards to circulatory and respiratory illnesses.

Sweating has become our tradition as well. It is something that we do to spiritually connect, reconnect, recover, affirm, release and embrace … It is also something we do to care for our bodies in a different way. In some cases it is a “reboot” to our wellness regimen or a kick-start! Sweating or banya can be a rejuvenating experience all around.

The benefits of the sweat/banya are:
• Opening of pores and elimination of toxins through perspiration
• Improvement in blood circulation, heart and vascular systems and increase in
red blood cell level
• Increased quantity of hemoglobin
• Intensified capillary activities
• Boosted metabolism

Got Peace???

Peace … it doesn’t mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. – Author Unknown

Peace is a decision you make to be still and know the power of God
Peace is an offering you extend instead of a cutting remark
Peace is a discipline. It is intentional and must be practiced
Peace is an active stillness in the midst of unrest
Peace is surrendering to God
Peace is an assessment of your priorities and sticking to them
Peace is affirming yourself despite your imperfections
Peace is defining you
Peace is love
Peace is standing up for injustice
Peace is admitting where you are and knowing that you have everything you need
Peace is active stillnessPeace is a result of an evaluation and transformation of the words you feed your mindWhat are you feeding yourself???
