Who is the Restorer of Peace?

I have worked in field Women's Holistic Wellness for over 15 years and I specialize in coaching women to spiritual and emotional wholeness. I conduct Wellness Workshops, Transformative One-on-One Coaching, Sister Circles, Sister Sweats, Fitness Activities and an upcoming training on "Dismantling the Myth of the Strong Black Woman". I am committed to equipping women with the truth of who they are and empowering them to act on that knowledge.

Do You Have A Spiritual Mantra???

A spiritual mantra is vibrational sounds from the Creator that multiply your will and desire when they are spoken from a place of truth and purity.

I use my spiritual mantra as a "check"; it brings me back to myself.

C-Connects you to the community. Grounds you. Centers you.

H-Heals and transforms your mind, body and spirit. Sound has the power produce healing throughout the physical, emotional and spiritual body.

E-Engages Eternity when you speak ancient words and vibrations you transcend time and tap into ancient faiths and practices.

C-Clarifies and deepens your thoughts. Helps you to see clearly and act with clear intention.

K-Kindles and stirs your will and desire. This speaks to the power of your words and the power they have when they move from being thoughts to spoken words.


Some examples of Spiritual Mantras are:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
When I commit everything I do to God, my plans succeed.
Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world.
I approve of myself.

Whatever You Do, Consider Your Past

This is the time of year when we are setting goals for our future and based on those goals, our future looks very bright. Possibility is in the air and the air is clear and light. In the back of our minds we encourage ourselves by saying, "I'm going to let go of my past so I can embrace my future and just move on" or "The past is the past, I'm moving on with my future". I would venture to say that we should consider our past.

A consideration is an examination, attention or regard; it means to reflect.

In Ghana, West Africa there is a word that explains this perfectly - SANKOFA. Sankofa means to go back and fetch it. It is symbolized by a bird that has turned its head completely around with the intention of grasping an egg that rests on its back. Deep within this symbol lies a concept we can all live by:

Look back and be intentional about holding onto the things in your life that are fertile.

Reflect on your past and look at what of it you need in order to move forward in your future. It cannot be ignored; it has shaped us into the people that we are today. If we use our past effectively we can be wiser, clearer, stronger, more loving, more humble. A careful consideration of our past can help us to give birth to new and restored relationships, clarity on our finances, a closer walk with God, strategies for how to position our career, a deeper understanding of who we are and our contribution to this planet.

What are the fertile areas of your past?

Here are some tips on finding them:

1. Reflect on the times that you felt alive and present. What were you doing? Who were you with?

2. Reflect on situations that you thought would break you but you remained standing. What did you do that helped you triumph? What was your perspective of the challenge? Who was present with you throughout the ordeal?

3. Reflect on decisions that you made that you feel good about. What was your thinking process? Who did you consult with?

4. Reflect on patterns in your relationships. In what areas of your relationships are you thriving? Who are you closest to? What about your relationship with that person makes you feel your best?

You don't have to be bound by your past, you can use the great things about it and the lessons learned to shape and redefine your future. When you go back and fetch the fertility of your past, you are full and pregnant with possibility.
